Present: Shannon Leson, Chairperson; Gloria Malinoski, Vice-Chairperson; Robert Volk; Dustin Hall; Jeff Weafer; Lyle Burkell; Agnes Ewen; Eleanor Shumay; Chrystal Armstrong; Denny Huyghebaert, Deputy Superintendent of Funeral & Cremation Services; Sandy Mahon, Registrar

The Registrar reported there have been five complaints received since the last meeting of Council, all of which have been successfully resolved.  Thirty-seven compliance reviews have been conducted at funeral homes to date, and fifteen compliance reviews have been conducted at crematoria.

A motion was passed to appoint Dustin Hall to the Legislative & Governance Committee.

A motion was passed to approve the May and June 2018 Revenue & Expense Reports as presented.

A motion was passed for the Resource & Compliance Officer to coordinate a course for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).  A further motion was passed for the Education and Professional Development develop a full program and implementation strategy further to this motion.

The next meeting of Council will be held on October 11, 2018.
