Synopsis of Minutes
Present: Shannon Leson, Chairperson; Gloria Malinoski, Vice-Chairperson; Nancy Kirk; Jeff Weafer; Lyle Burkell; Eleanor Shumay; Chrystal Armstrong; Denny Huyghebaert, Deputy Superintendent of Funeral and Cremation Services; Sandy Mahon, Registrar

The Registrar reported there has been one complaint received since the last meeting of Council, and it has been successfully resolved. Two other complaints are being considered by investigation committees. Seventy-two compliance reviews have been conducted at funeral homes to date, and nineteen compliance reviews have been conducted at crematoria along with two transfer services.
The Registrar advised he had been appointed once again as a Board Member of the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards.
A motion was passed to appoint Shawna Woicichowski to the Education & Professional Development Committee.
A motion was passed to approve the September 2018 Revenue & Expense Reports as presented.
A motion was passed to accept the Human Resources Committee’s recommendation for realignment of staff duties and salary increases in 2019.
The next meeting of Council will be held on January 24, 2019.
