 Synopsis of Minutes

Present:
Todd Lumbard, Chairperson; Phil Fredette, Vice-Chairperson; Jeff Ofstie;
Betty Anne Stevenson; Raymond Bailey; David Grambo; Basil Forsberg; Allan Higgs; Jerry Borkowsky; Eric Greene, Acting Superintendent of Funeral and Cremation Services; Sandy Mahon, Registrar

Council was advised there has been 1 complaint since the last meeting of Council.  The matter is presently being evaluated.

Council was advised that a Discipline Hearing for Council files 2010-14 & 2011-11 has been scheduled for November 21, 2012 to consider penalties.

Council was advised that a funeral home and crematorium license was issued to Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium Inc. in North Battleford.

Council will make a presentation to the Financial Services Commission on November 8, 2012.

Members of Council met with the representatives of the Saskatchewan Crematoria Council on October 16, 2012.

A motion was passed to approve revisions to bylaws and schedule of forms recommended by the Legislative Committee.

The Revenue & Expense Report for August 2012 was approved by Council.

Council was advised that at the October 17, 2012 Regional Forum in Regina a licensee passed on his accolades to the Administrative Staff at Council Office for their assistance and cooperation.

Council was advised that a meeting of the Education Committee will be held on November 20th, 2012.
